I have taken inspiration from the 'Japonisme' book by Erin Niimi Longhurst for these prints. In the book she explains about the Japanese way of life and how to incorporate that into your own life. Japan is where traditional woodblock printmaking began and I have actually been to Japan a few years ago now. I've wanted to create some Japanese inspired prints for some time and these are hopefully just the beginning.
