Scottish Printmaker and Illustrator bringing your ideas to life

Bringing the outdoors in… A printmaking studio creating illustration, original prints and pieces for the home - working from my garden studio in the North East of Scotland.

Please take a look around the shop, or if you have a bespoke piece in mind - send me an email.

ABSORBING THE OUTDOORS THROUGH PRINTMAKING

Using a variety of traditional painting and drawing techniques I create colourful storytelling works to adorn the home, business or online platform.

The surrounding Scottish countryside and nature are big influences in my practice - combining colour, pattern and form to create the image.

I have a selection of really lovely clients I have worked with over the years - have a look on my portfolio page to check out some previous works.

Drawn, by hand, using pens, pencils, wax crayons, sometimes edited on my iPad using Procreate - the point is it’s all by hand - my eye to the page. Completely unique to every artist.

Any original artworks can be preserved if you like, as a giclee (digital print). So if i create a drawing with raw materials, and love the idea of making it into a ‘print’ ie; creating multiples - then I scan in, and get printed through a printing company.

Hand drawn, hand carved and printed with ink on my wooden printing press. Every print is unique in that it has been printed by a human, not a computer. One lino block can be printed for many many years!

Working from lightest colour to darkest, this is a multi-colour lino print printed and carved in progressive layers - only using one block the whole time. This making these prints limited edition.

I am a Printmaker based in the North East of Scotland. I create block prints and block printed handmade lampshades. My carving style creates pattern in my work, simplifying the usual detail from a landscape. I use traditional printmaking methods I learned at Gray’s School of Art and combine with contemporary pieces for the home.

I work from my home studio in Elgin with an assortment of tools I have collected over the years including my wooden A3 Hand Printing Press. I enjoy walking and exploring the British coastlines and Scottish hills, fuelling my printmaking inspirations.

I am a full time Mum to two gorgeous kids alongside my art practice, learning as I go!
